In 2013, after working ten years in the public sector in Sweden and at the European Commission in Brussels I decided to start working as an independent consultant and founded Jonathan Olsson Consulting.
I have a Master of Science in Engineering and a University Diploma in Journalism. A combination that has provided me with deep analytical skills and an ability to explain complex matters clear and comprehensible to a broader public.
Over the years I have gained knowledge through a variety of different positions and areas of responsibility, spreading from analytical reports and public inquiries to lecturing, media contacts and participation in international working groups and negotiations.
As a consultant I am specialised in providing advice, expert knowledge and analysis relating to EU law, focusing on various aspects of coordination of social security and cross-border healthcare, i.e. necessary or planned healthcare received during a temporary stay abroad.
Jonathan Olsson will function as expert and advisor on cross-border healthcare/ EHIC to the research consultancy Ecorys in their work under a new contract with the European Commission (DG EMPL) – “Study on Facilitating free movement through further digitalisation in social security coordination“.
I currently work with a number of different clients, of which some can be found below. Below can also be found examples of clients whom I have previously worked with.
